Install Shrike

Shrike is a native macOS app for Apple Silicon (M1 or newer), macOS 11 Big Sur or later.

Download the app

  1. Download the latest .dmg from the Download page.
  2. Open the .dmg and drag Shrike into your Applications folder.
  3. Launch it.

On first launch, Shrike opens on a built-in sample inbox, so it’s usable immediately. To connect a real account, see Connect Gmail.

If macOS blocks the app

Release builds may be unsigned. If you see “Shrike can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer,” do one of the following:

  • Right-click the app in Applications → Open → Open again, or

  • Remove the quarantine flag from Terminal:

    xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Shrike.app

You only need to do this once.
